Francis Duru to be Buried December 11 in Imo

The late Nollywood actor, Francis Duru, will be buried on December 11, 2026 in Imo State, family has announced.

Family disclosed this in funeral announcement shared on actor’s official social media page on Monday, outlining activities to honour his life and legacy.

According to announcement, service of songs will hold in Abuja on Wednesday, November 25, at Family Worship Centre, Idris Gidado Street, Wuye, by 5pm.

Another service of songs will take place Thursday, December 10, at late actor’s family compound in Okai, Eziama, Isiala Mbano, Imo State.

Funeral and interment are scheduled for Friday, December 11, in Okai, Eziama, Isiala Mbano.

Family described Duru as “a cherished husband, father, brother, uncle and friend,” adding that his memory will remain in hearts of those who knew and loved him.

“Though our beloved Chief Francis Duru has taken his final bow, his memories will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him,” statement read.
