Actor Alex Ekubo Dies At 40

Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo has reportedly passed away.

The report gained traction on social media on Tuesday, but confirming the information, fellow actor Godwin Nnadiekwe shared an emotional tribute mourning the actor’s death.

Expressing shock over the development, Godwin described the news as heartbreaking, stating that Nollywood had lost a rare soul.

“I’m struggling to find the words. This news has truly broken me. Nollywood has lost a rare soul, and I’m lost for words because this wasn’t the plan, Alex Ekubo. To think you already prepared your will—It’s a heartbreak I can’t quite describe. Rest well, my friend 😢,” he wrote.

In the caption accompanying the post, the actor also hinted that cancer may have been responsible for Ekubo’s death.

“Goodnight Alex. Cancer you did this one 😢❤️,” he added.
