Ola Aina will be sidelined for three months after sustaining an injury on international duty, Prompt News reports.

The 28-year-old was replaced by Bright Osayi-Samuel in the 10th minute of Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa on Tuesday due to a hamstring injury.

The versatile full back is not expected to return to action until the end of the year, according to the Telegraph.

Aina’s long-term injury will be a big blow for new Forest’s manager Ange Postecoglou, who will be hoping to make an instant impact at the club.

The defender has been a key player for the Tricky Trees since his arrival at the City Ground.

He has played every minute of Forest’s three league games this season.
