Former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, made an unexpected appearance at the assembly complex on Thursday.
Obasa, who arrived around noon, was accompanied by security personnel as he moved into the Speaker’s Office.
His visit comes shortly after security aides assigned to the current Speaker, Mojisola Meranda, were reportedly withdrawn.
Reacting to the development, Meranda’s Chief Press Secretary, Segun Ajiboye, claimed that Obasa and his team forcefully accessed the office.
A source within Obasa’s camp also confirmed their presence at the assembly.
