First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has said President Bola Tinubu deserves a second term in office, insisting that the administration’s economic reforms are yielding tangible results.

Mrs. Tinubu spoke on Monday in Abuja at the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Women Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections.

She said the government’s economic interventions have moved beyond policy pronouncements to measurable signs of stabilisation, including declining inflation, growing foreign reserves, returning investor confidence and increased support for farmers.

“Our economy is stabilizing, inflation is coming down, foreign reserves are growing, and investors are returning to Nigeria,” she said.

She cited the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which offers interest-free loans to university students, as evidence that the Renewed Hope Agenda is impacting lives.

“The theme of this year’s rally is not just a slogan; it is our reality,” she declared.

The campaign council, inaugurated under the theme “Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0: From Reforms to Prosperity,” is mandated to lead a nationwide women-driven mobilisation for President Tinubu and all APC candidates for the presidency, governorships, National Assembly and State Houses of Assembly in 2027.

The First Lady charged APC women to take the administration’s achievements to the grassroots and mobilise for total victory.

She also announced the collapse of all women support groups into a single APC structure.

“We have collapsed every other women support group into one – from Tinubu Again to Torch Bearers and others. What you will see on the ballot box is APC. We are here to promote APC, nothing less,” she said.

According to her, the campaign will feature six geopolitical zonal mega-rallies, state-level rallies and a grand finale in Abuja. She said she will join the zonal campaigns alongside the wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima, and other senior party leaders.

At the state level, mobilisation will be driven by the wife of the Senate President, wife of the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Chairperson of the Nigeria Governors’ Spouses Forum.

Earlier, APC National Women Leader, Dr. Mary Alile Idele, urged the council to translate the reform message into grassroots engagement.

She said Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0 is not just a slogan but a call for women leaders to own and communicate the administration’s message.

Alile outlined a four-point strategy: building stronger women-to-women networks across wards and LGAs; identifying women in need and linking them to empowerment opportunities; taking the message of reform and prosperity to every community while providing feedback; and ensuring measurable results through clear responsibilities and accountability.

The inauguration marks the kick-off of APC’s women-led campaign machinery ahead of the 2027 general elections.
