The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Lagos State has set a target of 3 million votes for President Bola Tinubu and its governorship candidate, Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, in the 2027 general elections.
The Director-General of the PBAT-KOH Campaign Council, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, disclosed this on Sunday at a press conference held at the Campaign Office, GRA, Ikeja.
Obanikoro said the three-million-vote target was crucial to solidifying the APC’s electoral strength in Lagos.

He also announced that Hamzat would unveil his manifesto on Friday, October 30, at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts, Iganmu.
According to him, the event will provide a platform for Hamzat to share his vision and plans for the continued development of Lagos.
He said the campaign is anchored on “continued shared progress” and inclusivity, aimed at building on the achievements of successive administrations while addressing emerging challenges.
“Continued shared progress means working together to build a stronger Lagos on the foundation and master plan, creating more opportunities and improving the lives of our people without a break in continuity.
“Lagos belongs to all of us, for those who call it home, while respecting and preserving the indigenous people of Lagos State,” he said.
“Continuity is not about doing things the same way simply because they have been done before. It is about protecting what works, correcting what needs improvement and building on existing progress,” he added.
Obanikoro said Hamzat’s private and public sector experience positions him to lead the state, noting that he earned a PhD in Systems Process Engineering from Cranfield University, England, at 28 and worked with global financial institutions including Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley and Citibank in the US before joining public service as a three-time commissioner and deputy governor.
He said achievements of the Sanwo-Olu administration, including the Blue and Red rail lines, road and bridge projects, improvements in schools and hospitals, housing projects and support for businesses and youths, provide a strong foundation for Hamzat.
He added that the campaign has embarked on extensive consultations with religious leaders, traditional rulers, market women, traders, youths, professionals, artisans and community leaders to ensure residents’ concerns shape the development agenda.
“Leadership must listen before it acts. We want the concerns of ordinary Lagosians to inform our priorities,” he said.
On environmental sanitation, Obanikoro acknowledged concerns over waste disposal, saying waste volume has increased beyond projections, but government has acquired and deployed additional compactors to strengthen waste management.
He urged the media, party members and the public to follow the manifesto presentation, noting that attendance is strictly by invitation due to limited seating, but the event will be broadcast live on Channels TV, ARISE TV, TVC, LTV, News Central, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.
He said the manifesto would later be made available for download for public feedback.
Earlier, Director of Information, Communication and Branding of the Council, Mogaji Seye Oladejo, described the briefing as a step towards formally commencing the campaign for Tinubu’s re-election and Hamzat’s election as governor.
