You Came to Work, Not to Toast Me” – Woman Slams Unprofessional Men Who Make Advances on Clients

A Nigerian woman has taken to social media to slam men who cannot separate work from romance, warning that their unprofessional behaviour puts clients at serious risk.

In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter), she explained that men employed in professional roles often cross boundaries, whether they are artisans, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, or dispatch riders.

In her words, she said:

“You come to work, get paid, and the next thing, you start making passes at me. Even dispatch riders are texting to profess love to clients. It’s unprofessional and dangerous.”

She also criticized men who complain after rejection, saying it shows a lack of common sense.

According to her, respecting boundaries should be the minimum standard for anyone entering a client’s space, and failure to do so should cost them their jobs.

“‘Ooh, is it because I don’t have a private jet? Or a Range Rover? Or I’m not rich?’ Are you serious? Just do your job and go home. Anyone who behaves like this deserves to be fired.”

The woman stressed that the solution is simple: do your job and leave. Unprofessional conduct is especially dangerous for people who have access to clients’ personal information.

Her warning has resonated online, with some supporting her stance, while others questioned whether it is wrong for a man to ask a woman out despite the circumstances.
