Ondo State gubernatorial hopeful and the immediate past Commissioner for Finance in Ondo state, Mr. Wale Akinterinwa (Ajangamo) has praised the Super Eagles for the hard-earned victory over their South African counterparts in yesterday’s epic semi final game.

The Super Eagles defeated the Bafana Bafana of South Africa 4-2 on penalties to reach the final of the 2024 AFCON. The Super Eagles will play against the Elephants of Cote D’voire in the final on Sunday.

Mr. Akinterinwa, who spoke after the energy sapping and nerve- wracking game, lauded the resilience and determination of the Super Eagles. “We have just watched an epic encounter between two bitter rivals. I commend the Nigerian team for its fighting spirit and the composure displayed during the penalty kicks”, he said.

Mr Akinterinwa hosted hundreds of football fans in his Ile-Oluji country home, who sang, danced and celebrated the Super Eagles’ performance.

” My hearty congratulations to the Super Eagles on the outstanding performance and win over South Africa, thereby deserving a well-earned spot in the African Cup of Nations finals. It is my advice that you stay resolute, and let the synergy and cordial relationship existing among the football federation, team officials and players be maintained. I can assure you that victory is ours on Sunday”. Akinterinwa stated.

Morak is a dependable team player who succeeds in a high-pressure environment. He started his professional career with the flagship of Nigerian journalism – The Guardian Newspapers in 1992 where he honed his writing and editing skills before joining TELL Magazine. He has edited, reported for, and produced newspapers and magazines in Nigeria and the United Kingdom. Brief Profile of Ademola Akinbola

Ademola AKINBOLA is an author, publisher, trainer, digital marketing strategist, and a brand development specialist with nearly three decades of experience in the areas of branding, communication, corporate reputation management, business development, organizational change management, and digital marketing.

He is the Founder and Head Steward at BrandStewards Limited, a brand and reputation management consultancy. He is also the Publisher of The Podium International Magazine, Ile-Oluji Times, and Who’s Who in Ile-Oluji.

He had a successful media practice at The Guardian, Punch and This Day.

He started his brand management career at Owena Bank as Media Relations Manager before joining Prudent Bank (now Polaris Bank) as the pioneer Head of Corporate Affairs.

The British Council appointed him as Head of Communication and Marketing to co-ordinate branding and reputation management activities at its Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Port Harcourt offices.

In 2007, he was recruited as the Head of Corporate Planning and Strategy for the Nigerian Aviation Handling company. He led on the branding, strategic planning and stakeholder management support function.
