Turtle Taido stars in new Checkers Custard Commercial

Turtle Taido, the iconic cartoon character in the multiple award-winning animation series, is lead actor in the new Checkers Custard television commercial.
Created and Produced by Muyiwa Kayode, Turtle Taido which premiered on Africa Magic Family Channel in July 2015, is one of the best original animated cartoons for kids. It has since been running on global streaming platforms and television networks, including KweliTV, Arewa24 and Prime Video.
Apparently delighted with this development, Muyiwa Kayode who created the series, says ‘We are excited about this because this is the first time an original Nigerian cartoon character is starring in a television commercial for a leading brand”.
Checkers Custard is the market leader in the custard category in Nigeria and comes in different delicious flavors. These are Chocolate, Banana and Vanilla. Launched in 2017, Checkers Custard has become the children’s favourite custard brand in Nigeria.
Last September, Checkers Africa, makers of Checkers Custard and Tayekeni Productions, producers of Turtle Taido signed a partnership deal that delivers wholesome educational content to kids while also ensuring they continue to enjoy nourishment from the nation’s best custard brand.
