President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has celebrated the remarkable achievement of 15-year-old Nigerian artist Kanyeyachukwu Tagbo-Okeke, who has set a new Guinness World Record for the largest painting on canvas.

Tagbo-Okeke, who is autistic, unveiled his record-breaking artwork, titled “Impossible is a Myth,” at Eagle Square, Abuja, in commemoration of the 2025 World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD).

His achievement has drawn global attention, not only for its artistic magnitude but also as a testament to the limitless potential of individuals with autism.

“You said, ‘Impossibility is a myth,’ and you set out to prove that impossibility was nothing when you created the largest art canvas in the world at 12,303.87 square meters,” President Tinubu wrote in a tribute on his verified X handle.

“You are Brave, Audacious, and Tenacious. Your story has made history, and Nigeria is proud of you, Kanyeyachukwu Tagbo-Okeke.”

The young artist, who has long been recognised for his exceptional talent, has now solidified his place in history.

His painting has been hailed as a symbol of perseverance and the power of neurodivergent creativity.

His accomplishment comes at a time when autism awareness and inclusivity are gaining momentum in Nigeria and beyond.
