Tina Turner is dead at the age of 83. 

The iconic singer died at her home in Switzerland today following a long illness. 

‘Tina Turner, the ‘Queen of Rock’n Roll’ has died peacefully today at the age of 83 after a long illness in her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland.

With her, the world loses a music legend and a role model,’ her representatives said in a statement. 

Tina Turner was an American-born and naturalized Swiss singer, dancer, actress and author. Widely referred to as the “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll”, she rose to prominence as the lead singer of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue before launching a successful career as a solo performer.
