  1. WHAT DOES THE BIBLE MEAN BY “THE TROUBLER OF ISRAEL”

1 King 18 v 1 – 19

v.1 “And it came to pass after many days that the word of the Lord came to Elijah, in the third year, saying, “Go, present yourself to Ahab, and I will send rain on the earth.”

v.2 “So Elijah went to present himself to Ahab; and there was a severe famine in Samaria.”

v.3 “And Ahab had called Obadiah, who was in charge of his house. (Now Obadiah feared the Lord greatly.”

v.4 “For so it was, while Jezebel massacred the prophets of the Lord, that Obadiah had taken one hundred prophets and hidden them, fifty to a cave, and had fed them with bread and water.)”

v.5 “And Ahab had said to Obadiah, “Go into the land to all the springs of water and to all the brooks; perhaps we may find grass to keep the horses and mules alive, so that we will not have to kill any livestock.”

v.6 “So they divided the land between them to explore it; Ahab went one way by himself, and Obadiah went another way by himself.”

v.7 “Now as Obadiah was on his way, suddenly Elijah met him; and he recognized him, and fell on his face, and said, “Is that you, my lord Elijah?”

v.8 “And he answered him, “It is I. Go, tell your master, ‘Elijah is here.’ ”

v.9 “So he said, “How have I sinned, that you are delivering your servant into the hand of Ahab, to kill me?”

v.10 “As the Lord your God lives, there is no nation or kingdom where my master has not sent someone to hunt for you; and when they said, ‘He is not here,’ he took an oath from the kingdom or nation that they could not find you.”

v.11 “And now you say, ‘Go, tell your master, “Elijah is here”’!”

v.12 “And it shall come to pass, as soon as I am gone from you, that the Spirit of the Lord will carry you to a place I do not know; so when I go and tell Ahab, and he cannot find you, he will kill me. But I your servant have feared the Lord from my youth.”

v.13 “Was it not reported to my lord what I did when Jezebel killed the prophets of the Lord, how I hid one hundred men of the Lord’s prophets, fifty to a cave, and fed them with bread and water?”

v.14 “And now you say, ‘Go, tell your master, “Elijah is here.” ’ He will kill me!”

v.15 “Then Elijah said, “As the Lord of hosts lives, before whom I stand, I will surely present myself to him today.”

v.16 “So Obadiah went to meet Ahab, and told him; and Ahab went to meet Elijah.”

v.17 “Then it happened, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said to him, “Is that you, O troubler of Israel?”

v.18 “And he answered, “I have not troubled Israel, but you and your father’s house have, in that you have forsaken the commandments of the Lord and have followed the Baals.”

v.19 “Now therefore, send and gather all Israel to me on Mount Carmel, the four hundred and fifty prophets of Baal, and the four hundred prophets of Asherah, who eat at Jezebel’s table.”

  • Elijah, the Prophet predicted drought in the Land of Samaria. Kind Ahab was very unhappy.
  • Jezebel massacred the prophets of the Lord; Elijah went into hiding.
  • God instructed Elijah to go and present himself to Ahab and then He will send rain on the earth.
  • Elijah met a man Obadah who was in charge of the king’s house and asked him to inform the king of his presence.
  • In verse 17, when Ahab saw Elijah, he said to him “Is that you, O! troubler of Israel”
  • In verse 18, Elijah replied him “I have not troubled Israel, but you and your father’s house have.”
  • Elijah then challenged the king for power demonstration contest on Mount Carmel.

2. WHO ARE THE TROUBLERS OF YOUR ISRAEL?

Matthew 15 v 13

    “But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted.”

    1. Those anti-Christ elements preventing you from making Heaven, Gal. 5 v 19-21; Rev. 21 v 27; Rev. 22 v 15
    2. Those making you cry sorrowfully in your private closet (Ps.  2)
    3. Those Night caterers feeding you in the dream, thereby causing you afflictions (Ps. 59 v 2,6)
    4. Those circulating your names for evil, evil friends and evil broadcasters (Ps. 83 v 1-5)
    5. Those sponsoring problems against your welfare seasonally or regularly (Ps. 83 v 13 – 18)
    6. Those problem repairers, expanders and elongators (Ps. 58 v 1 – 11)
    7. Those jailing and caging your benefits in evil warehouses (Zech. 9 v 12)
    8. Those satanic elders at the gate regulating your progress (Ezek. 11 v 1 – 13)
    9. Those wounding you with evil hidden covenants, oaths, promises and vows with satanic trade by batter (Gal. 3 v 13)
    10. Those with evil tongues and sepulcher throats (Rom. 3 v 13 – 18)
    11. Those fighting you from the pit of Hell (Isa. 14 v 12 – 15)
    12. Those who delight in War Against your entire life (Ps. 68 v 30)
    13. The eaters of flesh and drinkers of blood (Ps. 27 v 1-2)
    14. Those who rejoice at your mistakes and reproaches  (Ps. 27 v 12)
    15. Those who do not want new things to manifest in your life  (Ps. 31v 1 – 6)
    16. Those mounting barriers and roadblocks on your way to breakthrough  (Esther 7 v 10)
    17. Those ancestral powers laying claim to ownership of your life  (Lam. 5 v 7 – 8)
    18. Those burning strange candles and incense against you  (Job 18 v 5 – 6)
    19. Those consulting oracles and carrying sacrifices to wound you  (Isa. 44 v 25 – 26)
    20. Those shooting evil arrows day and night in order to paralyse you  (Ps. 64)
    21. Those night sexual partners, those injecting you with drugs while sleeping  (Ps. 34 v 21)
    22. Those using evil wisdom to make enquiries about your life and then report back to them in the dark Esoteric Kingdom  (Esther 5 v 14)
    23. Those who plant unprofitable trees in the garden of your life  (Matt.  13 v 24 – 30)
    24. Those evil hands scattering when you are gathering  (1 Kings 13 v 1-5)
    25. Those saying can anything good come out of your Israel?  (John 1 v 46)

    3. SOME ATTRIBUTES OF GOD WHO WILL TROUBLE THE TROUBLERS OF YOUR ISRAEL

    1. Our God is a man of war

    Psalm 83 v 17 & 18

    v.17 “Let them be confounded and dismayed forever; Yes, let them be put to shame and perish”

    v.18 “That they may know that You, whose name alone is the Lord, Are the Most High over all the earth.”

    2. Our God is a consuming fire

    Hebrew 12 v 29

         “For our God is a consuming fire.”

    3. Our God is a Jealous God

    Exodus 34 v 14

    “For you shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God”

    4. Our God is soverign

    Psalm 115 v 3

         “But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases.”

    5. Our God is powerful

    Psalm 62 v 11

         “God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God.”

    6. Our God is a fighter

    Exodus 14 v 14

         “The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”

    7. Our God is dreadful

    Job 13 v 11

         “Will not His excellence make you afraid, And the dread of Him fall upon you?”

    4. Why must you pray warfare prayer against the trouble of your Isreal

    • Luke 18 v 1

    “And Zacharias said to the angel, “How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is well advanced in years.”

    • Psalm 65 v 2

    “O You who hear prayer, To You all flesh will come”

    • Mathew 11 v 12

    “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.”

    v.16 “As for me, I will call upon God, And the Lord shall save me.”

    In Psalm 7 v 9a

    “Oh, Let the wickedness of the wicked come TO AN END”

    COME TO AN END means:

    • To cease
    • To stop existing
    • To be eradicated
    • To be put off
    • To be put out – Job 18 v 5
    • To be annihilated
    • To discontinue
    • To terminate
    • God wants to terminate the wickedness in your life.
    • That is when you can have testimonies.
    • The problem in your life is an evil attachment that God wants to cut off by His power.
    • Isaiah 6 v 1

    “In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple.”

    • That problem in your life stands for the spiritual King Uzziah.  It must die for you to sing a new song.
    • Zech 11 v 9 

    “Then I said, “I will not feed you. Let what is dying die, and what is perishing perish. Let those that are left eat each other’s flesh.”

    • So, beloved it is highly scriptural to address your battles to die so you can fulfill destiny.

    To every deep trouble, there must be deep prayers.

    • Job 14 v 1

    “Man who is born of woman Is of few days and full of trouble.”

    • No life is trouble free
    • Unto every life, storms will blow.
    • Storms don’t have respect for your age
    • Troubles are in categories – Dan. 2 v 22

    “He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, And light dwells with Him.”

    • Psalm 42 v 7

    “Deep calleth unto the Deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me”.

    • Only Deep Prayers can tackle deep troubles
    • Trap for RATS will not work for Elephants
    • It is no longer time to be wasting TIMES in Churches
    • The Minerals that can give you wealth are not on the surface but deep inside the ground and you need to dig deep to get them.
    • No more time for FASHION PARADE in churches.
    • Ignorant people criticize prayer ministries and are suffering.
    • Don’t mix your problems with PRIDE

    5. Why must you pray aloud

    • Psalm 55 v 16 & 17

    v.16 “As for me, I will call upon God, And the Lord shall save me.”

    v.17 “Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice.”

    • Psalm 50 v 15 

    “Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.”

    • Joel 2 v 32a 

    “And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord

    Shall be saved.”

    • Acts 2 v 21  

    “And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord

    Shall be saved.”

    • Mark 3 v 27 

    “No one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. And then he will plunder his house.”

    1. The enemies don’t grant freedom easily.  You must get it forcefully.
    2. The world is not a playground but a battle ground.
    3. In this battle, it is either you kill or you get killed.
    4. Soft and apologetic prayers are useless in spiritual warfare.
    5. Satan has a highly organised network.
    6. Until you confront you cannot conquer.
    7. The enemies always want to steal, kill and destroy.
    8. One may make heaven but it is a matter of choice whether to die like Lazarus or Abraham, as illustrated in the bible. It is in your hands to decide.
    9. It is a disaster to behold the Mountain of promises without getting there.
    10. Breakthroughs are born in the womb of Battles.
    11. You cannot match the devil’s might with prayers of low potency.
    12. Only stretched cords can produce melodies.
    13. Until you put a tea of bag in a hot water, the flavour won’t come out.
    14. Your attitude in prayers determines your success altitude.
    15. Satan is always jealous of good things and will fight to stop them at all cost.
    16. Spiritual violence is equal to Aggression expressed to achieve a goal.
    17. Spiritual Force is equal to the right application of Power to get something done.

    Beloved, pray with STRONG FAITH and GREAT EXPECTATIONS.

    PRAYERS

    1. Arise O Lord, let your enemies be scattered …. (Ps. 68 v 1)
    2. As I go into the battle, in the name of Jesus, I am a winner
    3. We are able to go up, and take the country
    4. Awon ti o nyo mi lenu baba, yo won lenu o.
    1. Every satanic standing order set up in the kingdom of darkness to disgrace my life, scatter by fire in Jesus name.
    2. Every Sennacherib  (2 Kings 19) troubling my welfare, perish with your messengers in Jesus name.
    3. Any evil champion after the order of Goliath harassing my life, be stoned to death in Jesus name.
    4. Evil gathering and gatherers (night and day) against my rising up, by these stones of emptiness (Isa. 34 v 11) scatter by fire in Jesus name.
    5. Any power jingling the bell of sorrow and backwardness over my life, work and ministry, perish by fire in Jesus name.
    6. Those powers who may want to rise up against my advancement henceforth, paralysed by fire in Jesus name.
    7. Secrets of the enemies in my home, work and life, be uncovered in Jesus name.
    8. Every evil word or prophecy ever spoken into my life, be withdrawn from creation in Jesus name.
    9. Household enemies pursuing me restlessly, be arrested in Jesus name.
    10. I shall not be manipulated to death in Jesus name.
    11. Eaters of flesh and drinkers of blood assigned against the journey of my life, die by fire in Jesus name.
    12. Those who delight in war against my life, be scattered in Jesus name.
    13. Powers that pull one down at the peak of success, you will not succeed in my life in Jesus name
    14. Dark powers wishing me and my  family dead before out time, die now in Jesus name.
    15. Evil pillars sustaining or supporting problems in my life, be pulled down in Jesus name.
    16. Sources of the problems facing me terribly, dry up by fire in Jesus name.
    17. All the enemies on assignment to cause havoc in my home, work and life, stumble and fall in Jesus name.
    18. Every satanic power hindering revival and restoration in my life, perish by fire in Jesus name.
    19. Every grave dug for me and my family members, swallow your diggers in Jesus name.
    20. According to Judges 5 v 20, let the heavenly stars arise and fight on my behalf in Jesus name.
    21. According to Jer. 16 v 16 O ye divine hunters and fishers, engage my enemies in fierce battle and destroy them in Jesus name.
    22. According to Deut. 9 v 1 – 3All the children of Anakins on my way to outstanding success, be destroyed in Jesus name.
    23. O Lion of the tribe of Judah, swallow all satanic lions, animals, birds and reptiles assigned against me in Jesus name.
    24. My God shall arise on my behalf, and all my enemies shall scatter in Jesus name.
