Nigerian dancer and singer Kora Obidi has stirred debate on social media after speaking about what she described as a shortage of good men, particularly for single mothers.
In a video shared online, the entertainer spoke openly about her experience in the dating world.
She said the reality only becomes clear when a woman is raising a child alone.

“There is a scarcity of good men”
“You know what we don’t talk about? We don’t talk about the scarcity of good men.
It’s until you’re a single mother that you see that there’s a scarcity of good men,” she said.
Kora Obidi described herself as highly visible and successful, yet still struggling to find a suitable partner.
She pointed to her fame and large following as proof that status does not guarantee relationship success.
“For me, I’m a freaking superstar! 18 million followers! International global superstar! I see maybe one or two good men in a year, and they’re all taken,” she stated.
She added that many responsible and desirable men are already committed at a young age.
“A good man is taken at 16, 17. The women already know that’s a good man, they’ve already trapped him,” she added.
According to her, men who remain unmarried into older age often raise concerns.
“You see the ones that are there up to 50, they never marry,” she said.
