Senator Nwoko Orders Arrest of Regina Daniels’ Mother, Rita Daniels

Nigerian billionaire and senator, Ned Nwoko, has reportedly ordered the arrest of his mother-in-law, Rita Daniels, amid ongoing family dispute involving his wife, actress Regina Daniels.

The tension between Ned Nwoko and his wife’s family escalated after Regina moved out of their matrimonial home.

The lawmaker accused the Nollywood star of substance abuse and claimed she had refused rehabilitation.

In a post shared online, Rita Daniels revealed that an arrest order had been issued against her. “Ned had issued an arrest warrant against me. I should be arrested on or before Monday,” she wrote.

The development comes days after Regina’s brother, Sammy West, was arrested in Lagos on Monday following a complaint by Senator Nwoko and subsequently taken to Abuja.

Reacting to the incident, Regina Daniels said her brother’s arrest was part of a plan to compel her to undergo rehabilitation.

Her elder brother, Sweezy, also took to Instagram to accuse Nwoko of intimidation, claiming that Sammy had been denied access to legal representation, food, and water.

He alleged that the senator vowed to keep Sammy in detention until Regina returned to their home.

The ongoing dispute between the lawmaker and Regina’s family has drawn public attention, with several celebrities expressing concern over the alleged arrests and accusations.
