A former President of the Nigerian Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki has faulted the ban placed on Twitter operations in Nigeria.

Saraki said the ban should not be the response from the Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari.

Read Saraki: “No sir! This should not be the response from the president of a nation with a vibrant youthful population for whom #Twitter is part of their daily lives and a source of their income and livelihood. This must be reviewed.”

Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed had announced the ban in a statement released by Segun Adeyemi, Special Assistant (Media) in the office of the President.
