CU Phosco, the UK’s largest designer and manufacturer of Exterior lighting equipment, has commenced the installation of high-power outdoor flood lights on the Senator Rashidi Ladoja Circular Road, Ibadan, under a transformative infrastructure project embarked upon by the visionary administration of Engr. Seyi Makinde, the State Governor.

The 110 km road is a major ongoing construction project designed to alleviate traffic congestion in the city and provide a bypass for travellers. The road is intended to encircle the city, linking various locations and facilitating easier traffic movement. The project is divided into four sections: South-East, North-East, North-West, and South-West.

Work has begun on the three major highway intersections along the Ibadan Ring Road. In the weeks ahead, 43 high masts (30m each) will be installed to enhance roadway safety and visibility significantly. The CU Phosco team has successfully installed 37 high masts on the Bridge One and Bridge 6 Intersections, marking a strong start to the expected long-term relationship between CU Phosco and Oyo State. The installation of the remaining 6 high masts at Onipepeye Bridge is ongoing

Oyo State Commissioners and members of the Ministry for Energy and Mineral Resources witnessed the installation of some of the high masts. Lee Sanderson (CU Phosco Export Manager) and Bola Adebanjo (CU Phosco Regional Manager, Nigeria) were also there to support the important milestone phase of the project.
