Sen. Adams Oshiomhole (APC-Edo-North) has distributed 11,000 bags of rice to people in his senatorial district to celebrate Christmas.

The gesture, THE CONCLAVE reports must have lost Oshiomhole well over N500m going by the market prices of different bags of rice.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the rice comprising 10kg, 25kg and 50kg were distributed to the six local government areas of Edo-North Senatorial District.

Speaking during the distribution to various local governments on Wednesday, Oshiomhole said the donation was part of palliative measures to the people of the district.

He advised Christians and Nigerians to sue for peace and love during the celebration.

“This rice is not for party members alone, mechanic, tailors, vigilante group should also benefit from the kind gesture.

“I will never take your support for granted, and I assure you I will continue to provide leadership for a better Afemai land.”

The former governor who acknowledged that things were tough pleaded with Nigerians to exercise patience with the present administration as things would get better.

He, however, wished everyone a merry Christmas and a happy New Year in advance.

Brief Profile of Ademola Akinbola

Ademola AKINBOLA is an author, publisher, trainer, digital marketing strategist, and a brand development specialist with nearly three decades of experience in the areas of branding, communication, corporate reputation management, business development, organizational change management, and digital marketing.

He is the Founder and Head Steward at BrandStewards Limited, a brand and reputation management consultancy. He is also the Publisher of The Podium International Magazine, Ile-Oluji Times, and Who’s Who in Ile-Oluji.

He started his brand management career at Owena Bank as Media Relations Manager before joining Prudent Bank (now Polaris Bank) as the pioneer Head of Corporate Affairs.
