The Ondo State Internal Revenue Service (ODIRS) has announced the immediate suspension of the newly introduced Entertainment Tax across the state.

According to the Executive Chairman of ODIRS, Mr. Bayo Rojugbokan, the decision was taken after a review of the provisions of the new tax laws. He explained that the goal of the tax reforms is to harmonize multiple taxes and improve revenue administration in the state.

The Service stated that the collection of the Entertainment Tax has now been halted as part of efforts to provide clarity, prevent multiple taxation, and create a more business-friendly environment in Ondo State.

ODIRS also encouraged residents and business operators to continue fulfilling their civic responsibilities by paying their taxes promptly. Taxpayers are advised to use the official i-Ondo platform for all tax payments and related transactions to ensure transparency and efficiency.
