Ondo 2024: Akinterinwa makes grand entry into Ifedore, Akokoland

In preparation for the April 20, 2024 primary election, the leading governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state, Hon Wale Akinterinwa, on Tuesday, kicked off his ‘Meet the People’ tour of local areas in the state with a grand trip to Ifedore Local Government Area.

For the frontline aspirant and his campaign team, it was a grand entry into ancient town of Igbara-Oke. Party members and other resident of the vibrant community turned out in large numbers to receive Akinterinwa and his loyalists with pomp and pangeantry. With drums and trumpets blaring, the happy people of Ifedore welcomed a leader with unparalleled distinction.

Akinterinwa’s arrival was met with an overwhelming display of enthusiasm and support, underscoring his status as a beacon of hope for the hapless people. Renowned for his astute political acumen, unwavering integrity, and remarkable philanthropy, the former finance commissioner in the state stands out from the crowd of aspirants with an enviable resume, making him an epitome of leadership, integrity and a distinguished pedigree.

The palpable excitement in the town reverberated throughout Ifedore LGA, as the team was received by the LGA leaders of the APC, led by the chairman, who expressed joy while introducing other members of the executives who all turned out gaily dressed.

Addressing the crowd, Akinterinwa thanked the leaders and members of the APC in the local government who turned out to receive him and his team. He added that the honour done accorded him and his campaign organization was testimony that the people of Ifedore LGA are unequivocal in their support for him.

A party leader, who spke on behalf of others, said: “His presence here today resonates not only with party faithful, but with all residents who have turned out in recognition of his unwavering commitment to uplifting Igbara-Oke , Ifedore LGA and Ondo State at large.”

The tour continued on Wednesday with trips the four Local Government Areas in Akoko. Like the experience of the previous day, it was a glorious day for Akinterinwa and the campaign team as the people trooped out in large number to show support and solidarity.

The first port of call was Isua-Akoko, the headquarters of Akoko SouthEast Local Government. Critical party stakeholders in Akoko SouthEast, led by the former Former Commissioner for Information, Mrs Bamidele Ademola-Olateju, spoke in glowing terms of Akinterinwa’s great vision for Ondo State, and declared their unalloyed support for the number one aspirant.

Akinterinwa seized the occasion to outline his manifesto, with a promise to empower women with reasonable grants to boost their businesses.

The campaign train moved to Oka-Akoko, the headquarters of Akoko South-west, where the people came out in droves to pledge their support to the governorship aspiration of Wale Akinterinwa. Major party stakeholders in the Local Government, including Barr. Sola Ajisafe and other party leaders unanimously threw their weight behind the governorship hopeful.

Akoko Northeast Local Government was the next stop for the campaign train. The people gathered massively in Ikare to identify with the governorship aspiration of Wale Akinterinwa. Speaking at the event, Akinterinwa said he was impressed by the high level of acceptance that greeted his visit to the LGA, stressing that he was confident in being victorious with the support of the people.

The people of Akoko North West would not outdone by other local government areas. The team hit Oke-Agbe Akoko, the headquarters of Akoko northwest, in grand style as APC leaders and members came out en-mass to give Akinterinwa and his team a hero’s reception.

The people unanimously agreed that Akinterinwa is a round peg in a round hole in the consideration of who becomes the next governor of Ondo State.

As the campaign continues to gain momentum, Hon. Wale Akinterinwa’s stellar reputation and unwavering dedication continue to inspire confidence and rally support from all corners of the state is entrenching him as the man to beat in the APC primary election.

Brief Profile of Ademola Akinbola

Ademola AKINBOLA is an author, publisher, trainer, digital marketing strategist, and a brand development specialist with nearly three decades of experience in the areas of branding, communication, corporate reputation management, business development, organizational change management, and digital marketing.

He is the Founder and Head Steward at BrandStewards Limited, a brand and reputation management consultancy. He is also the Publisher of The Podium International Magazine, Ile-Oluji Times, and Who’s Who in Ile-Oluji.
