The Olowo of Owo and Paramount Ruler of Owo Land, His Imperial Majesty, Alayeluwa, Oba (Dr) Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, has congratulated Christians, the people of Owo Land and Nigerians in general, on this year’s Easter celebrations.
Oba Ogunoye, in a statement signed and released by his Special Assistant Media, Sam Adewale, said, the period is symbolic in relation to faith about the death of Jesus Christ, that preaches resurrection, peace, tolerance, forgiveness, perseverance and good neighbourliness.
The Monarch disclosed that, for the people to justify the crucifixion and resurrection of the son of God, there is the need to continue to show love as well as provision for the less privileged in the society.
Oba Ogunoye added that, since Christ had duly paid the prize for the people of the world towards salvation, they must not let this supreme sacrifice go in vain.
Alayeluwa Oba Ogunoye concluded by wishing the people of Owo and Nigerians happy celebrations just as he said the festivities should be in moderation.
