French supermajor set to drill exploration probe close to its big Akpo field as it fine tunes Preowei development

TotalEnergies is gearing up to drill a deepwater exploration well in Nigeria, targeting a significant-sized prospect which, if successful, could be developed as a subsea satellite to one of its floating production, storage and offloading vessels.
The French giant is also fine tuning development studies on its big nearby Preowei subsea project, with a boost in reserves expected after studying the latest seismic data.
