The Assistant Coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Ibadan, Oyo State, Mr. Akin Olowokere, has died.
Reports said that he died in Ibadan on Monday, August 11, 2025.
Eyewitnesses disclosed that Olowokere slumped on the pitch during the team’s training session on Monday and was rushed to the hospital.
He was, however, confirmed dead at the hospital.
The club had yet to speak on the incident as of press time.
Olowokere, a former Sunshine Stars of Akure player and tactician, was recently unveiled as one of the coaches of 3SC after the club parted ways with the Gbenga Ogunbote-led coaching crew.
Olowokere was, for years, a regular player with his state club, Sunshine Stars, before taking up a coaching job.
He recently served as an assistant coach with the club under head coach, Edith Agoye.
