Napoli are back in for Alejandro Garnacho.

Napoli are eyeing a blockbuster deal for Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho after failing with an offer in January, according to reports. The Serie A giants’ capture of Scott McTominay has proven to be a roaring success, and they are primed to return to Old Trafford for more.

The Mirror report that Napoli are now hoping to snap Garnacho up for a lower fee of £45m as they look to bolster their squad further, following the acquisition of Kevin De Bruyne. Antonio Conte is preparing to defend the Italian title after pipping Inter Milan to the post last season.

United are eager to part ways with the 21-year-old winger following his falling out with head coach Ruben Amorim last season.

Garnacho is one of several players told to steer clear of pre-season training ahead of their planned exits.

Despite valuing Garnacho at £60m, United are aware that achieving such a fee might be unrealistic due to the public dispute and their urgency to sell.

Negotiations between United and Napoli continue as the Red Devils aim to reach an agreement over the young talent.

Napoli’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis has expressed confidence in Garnacho’s abilities, stating: “Garnacho’s got pace, flair and potential.

“But that’s not even why we want him. We want him because he’s at United. Get him out, and he becomes twice the player. There’s a fault at United that I can’t explain.”

Garnacho had a row with Amorim after being omitted from United’s starting lineup for the Europa League final loss to Tottenham Hotspur in Bilbao.

The Argentine sensation openly criticised Amorim’s choice following United’s 1-0 defeat and mentioned he would contemplate his future during the summer break.

“Obviously, it’s hard for everyone,” Garnacho expressed his frustration to the media. “Our season was s***.

“We didn’t beat anyone in the league. We lacked a lot of things. When you don’t score goals, you always need more.

“Until we reached the final, I played every round. And I played 20 minutes today – I don’t know. I’m going to try to enjoy the summer and see what happens next.”

Garnacho is reportedly prioritising a Premier League stay amid links to Arsenal, Aston Villa and Chelsea. However, Napoli look to have reignited their pursuit.
