The lawmaker representing Ile Oluji/Oke Igbo and Odigbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Festus Adefiranye, has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to revive the moribund Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation/ Nigeria Products Storage Company Depot, Ore, in Odigbo Local Government.

He said the resuscitation of the fuel depot was long overdue.

Adefiranye said the facility, inaugurated in 1979 with over 200 million storage capacity, ‘’is now obsolete due to years of neglect.’’

He called on the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) to prioritise immediate repair and rehabilitation of vandalised pipelines supplying fuel to the depot.

Speaking to reporters in Akure, Adefiranye said he had presented his appeal during plenary and described the Ore fuel depot as a major storage hub for commuters in the Southwest, including Edo, Kogi and Kwara states.
