The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and the Lagos State government have signed an MOU for the new Airport Alimosho Bypass Project (AABP).

The four-phase project is expected to decongest the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.

The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor of Lagos State on New Media, Jubril Gawat, made this known through his official Twitter handle on Tuesday.

The nine-kilometer four-lane Toll Road along the Murtala Muhammed Airport Perimeter is the 1st Phase.

Gawat said, “the Project would be another great development aimed at easing traffic congestion and ending the traffic gridlock often experienced on Lagos Abeokuta Expressway and environs.
