The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo (SAN), said the political manoeuvres of the opposition coalition are outdated ‘419 formats’ that no longer fool Nigerians.

Keyamo ridiculed the rising confidence of the opposition coalition to unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Keyamo said Nigerians have become more politically discerning and are aware of the opposition’s gimmicks.

As reported by The Nation, Keyamo stated this while speaking during a televised interview on Sunday, August 3, 2025. “I know them very well, and they know us very well. These tactics they are employing are expired. They are 419 formats that have been used over the years. I was an EFCC prosecutor. I know those formats. Nigerians know them too. You cannot deceive Nigerians with these expired formats again.”
The minister accused the opposition of manipulating economic data and amplifying isolated incidents to project a false image of national failure. “Reeling out figures, picking up isolated incidents of some indices, and using it for generalisation. Nigerians are wiser than that.” Keyamo rubbished the claim that the opposition is getting stronger ahead of the 2027 elections. The minister maintained that the ruling APC remains robust and well-positioned. “You say they are getting stronger; is the APC getting weaker? No. We have the demography. We have the structures. We are not strangers to this game. They are not bringing anything new. It’s the same confused coalition the President once described as ‘a coalition of confused people,’”
ADC will produce candidate to unseat Tinubu
Recall that the former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, said the ADC coalition will defeat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027. Senator Melaye stated that the ADC will produce a presidential candidate to challenge and unseat Tinubu in the 2027 elections.
The former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawmaker explained how the new coalition will achieve its aim of taking over power in 2027.
