Muhammed Babangida, son of former military President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB), has debunked reports claiming he declined his recent appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Chairman of the Bank of Agriculture.

Contrary to an earlier report suggesting he turned down the appointment, Babangida on Monday described the circulating letter as fake and politically motivated.

In an exclusive interview with Discovererngr.com, Mohamed said: “It is a concocted letter from disgruntled elements,” he said in a brief statement. “I am ready to serve as the Chairman of the Bank of Agriculture.”

The clarification comes amid rising speculations following the emergence of a letter purportedly addressed to President Tinubu, in which Babangida allegedly declined the offer, citing personal and professional reasons.

However, the businessman and philanthropist firmly denied authoring such a letter, reaffirming his commitment to national development under President Tinubu’s administration.
