More facts have emerged on how the tragic collapse of the 21-storey building on Gerrard Road, Ikoyi, otherwise called 360 degrees Apartments, could have been averted if timely professional warnings had been heeded.

Mr. Femi Osibona, the CEO of Fourscore Heights Limited, owners of the building, was warned in 2020 of the doubtful integrity of the building.

In a letter dated February 20, 2020, a copy of which The Podium Media saw (reproduced below), Prowess Engineering Limited. the structural engineering consultants to the project had withdrawn its services, citing an inability to verify the concrete cube test results for the building.

It was also gathered that the Lagos State Planning Authority had cause to seal off the project site early this year, but the intervention of top shots who had the ears of Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo led to the unsealing of the property.
