See, I feel hurt wen I see the level of political ignorance of we Igbos.

Honestly, it’s painful and this is our biggest challenge.

But we have never been like this from the beginning.

Ignorance can be cultivated through arrogance..

Through mental programming that makes a people be stubborn to see truth.

I know the huge challenges that are in trying to enlighten a people who have been programmed to see life from a wrong perspective.

But I am determined to keep enlightening us .

Now let this post be one of those enlightenment classes and I want you to read it with an open mind.

See, whether it’s Biafra we want or a place on the table of decision-making in Nigeria…

None of those can be achieved without politically aligning correctly.

I must be honest with you.

In a polygamous family where you come from, have you not noticed that that your brother who is loved and who gets favoured by the children of every of the wives is that one that is considered….

  1. Friendly to everyone
  2. That is trusted by everyone that if brother Emeka becomes rich everyone will enjoy because he doesn’t discriminate
  3. Everyone is willing to sell family land to help him travel abroad because if brother Emeka gets there he will make sure everyone is taken care of?

Nigeria is a polygamous family and it works just like that.

Trying to operate as the “enemy of everyone” in a polygamous family is suicide mission.

The rest of the wives and their children will use juju and pack you one side.

Nigeria is just like that.

The Igboman from the beginning understood the Nigerian politics even more than the Yorubas and the South South.

Remember Chief Obafemi Awolowo’s issues with Akintola was that he was considered rigid and unwilling to relate?

So the Western region remained in the opposition for long and got nothing out of Nigeria, until 1999.

On the other hand…

Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe’s one Nigeria’s strategy was more effective for us Igbos.

Because he understood Nigeria’s politics.

After independence, Igbos were on top everywhere till 1966.

After the war we bounced back in 1979-1983 when Dr Alex Ekweme became Vice president.

Even during the military era, so many Igbos were married rich by the military including Peter Obi.

So many Igbos were in top military positions even as military Governors of States.

From 1999 till 2015 we were always in powerful positions and we would have negotiated from there.

Then PDP politicians from the South East who were benefiting from Jonathan’s government and who couldn’t accept that he lost out sponsored Kanu to start Radio Biafra and IPOB.

That was where the progress we were making was destroyed.

Our people were rad3icalized and their minds messed up that we can’t even reason well again.

Meanwhile all the times we were in high positions, the Yorubas were suffering.

Remember Awolowo was set up and thrown into prison by the Arewa cabal because they saw the Yorubas as a formidable opponent?

Abiola’s election was nullified and they keeeeeled him.

They threw OBJ into prison and nearly executed him if not that Abacha kpaied.

And when he became president they didn’t want him to go for second term.

You saw with your eyes all the games Arewa played to make sure Tinubu never won in 2023?

After he won , you have been seeing with your eyes all that Arewa has been doing to remove him from power.

But you know what?

The Yorubas didn’t or are not shouting, instead they ignore and keep building alliances.

They learned how to capture power and keep it. They learned to negotiate after the June 12 annulment.

And after OBJ left power they went back to opposition politics and began to build and negotiate.

And in 2015 they came back to power and till now and even after Tinubu is done , there will be no day the Yorubas won’t be relevant.

Do you know why?

They have mastered polygamous family politics which we have not.

Look at the South South that we used to call “The cry cry baby of Nigeria”.

They began the agitation that destroyed their region and all the companies there moved to Lagos with jobs.

They learnt and began to play the polygamous family politics.

Suddenly Jonathan became VP and president.

Then he lost out and he didn’t stay and cry all year.

He and the Niger Delta quickly re-aligned to the APC that Jonathan even supported an APC candidate who won as Governor in Bayelsa.

Today the whole of Niger Delta is APC and they’re Senate President and FCT Minister and some other powerful positions.

They learnt fast.

But Igbos, we’re not learning instead we’re grandstanding and making no progress.

Power in a polygamous family is ENTRUSTED not taken.

You can make all the noise and agitate as you like , you’ll be wasting your time.

All the agitation we did and SIT-AT-HOME from 2016 till now what was the result?

We destroyed our region and our economy and widened distrust for the Igboman in Nigeria.

Today you people have made it 10× more difficult for the Igboman to become president.

My brothers and sisters we have to wake up.

Being stubborn in stupidity and ignorance doesn’t make sense.

Today the Igboman is a laughing stock in Nigeria because of our unguarded arguments and headless agitations which have produced no results but self destruction.

In 2027 even the blind man knows that Obi won’t be president and definitely not in 2031.

His chance is gone. You people destroyed all the goodwill he had by insulting other ethnic groups.

But we can mend fences with other ethnic groups in 2027.

Let’s work together as a reasonable people.

See , what Obi Cubana and others are doing is the right thing.

What our South East Governors are doing by joining Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the right thing.

We must position ourselves and I tell you by 2031 an igboman will be vice president.

This post is not for everyone but I know there’s an igbo person out there whose mindset will change after reading this post.

Please help me to SHARE it.

Thank you.
