Nollywood actress, Sarah Martins has the record straight surrounding her recent viral date with a dispatch rider that sparked widespread controversy online.
The controversy began when she called out the rider, sharing screenshots of his chats in which he professed his feelings for Sarah, later suggesting that her rejection led to his job loss.

This sparked widespread speculation on social media, with many assuming Sarah had been harsh or uncaring.

In response to the online chatter, Sarah treated him to a date, including shopping and a luxury lunch, but made it clear this was an act of kindness, not a romantic commitment.

Despite this, rumors started circulating that she had accepted his proposal.
Sarah has now set the record straight, emphasizing that her gesture was simply an act of love and humanity, saying:
“Let it be known that I don’t say yes to a dispatch rider. I only extended my hand in love for humanity towards him to remind him that he’s worthy of love.
I am not the type that dates low, and I can’t fix any man to fit into my standards. I am single and currently not searching. I only extended love, didn’t say yes. A man can only earn respect, submission, and loyalty when he’s a provider.”
She also addressed the job claims, revealing that the rider had not been sacked, but merely cautioned.
Her intention, she explained, was to make him feel loved, and not looked down upon.
Fans have applauded Sarah’s principled stance, noting that kindness does not always equate to saying “yes.”
