Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has approved the appointment of Collins Edomaruse as his Special Adviser, International Development Partners.

Edomaruse comes to his new job with knowledge that cuts across all aspects of governance made possible by his very solid journalism background.

He had pounded the street (various beats) as a reporter and manned different desks as an editor, during which he reported, analysed, and interrogated issues in society and around governance.

He is a fellow of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (FNGE) and a member of the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers of Nigeria (GOCOP) which he consummated as Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of METROWATCH online newspaper.

Before founding Metrowatch, he had held several senior Editorial positions in THISDAY, including Group News Editor, Group Politics Editor, Deputy Editor (Daily, Saturday and Sunday titles), and Editor, Nation’s Capital/Abuja Bureau.
