Gospel Musician, Adesola Adekanbi Storms UK on A Playing Tour, Says Music Is My Passion

One of Nigeria’s raving international musical icons, Adesola Adekanbi, is embarking on a tour of the United Kingdom in October 2025. She will be leading other renowned gospel artists to perform at a concert tagged “Worship Night” on October 11 at the Dunstable Conference Centre.

Adesola is the founder and leader of the Praise Explosion Band. Speaking to The Podium International Magazine, Adesola disclosed that she is eagerly looking forward to the Concert, which she said will be another opportunity to satisfy the yearnings of her fans in the United Kingdom. “Music has always been my passion; I am not just singing, music is an ordained mandate I must fulfil”, she added.

Adesola and her band will be performing along with other Gospel artists from Zimbabwe. Some of them are Batsirai Shasha, Lloyd Tevedzai, Prophetess Ellen, Evang Wazda, Fenny Kerubo, Praise Explosion, Dorcas Moyo, Chaplin Phiri, Prophetess Ellen, Worshipper Larry Gunda, and Prophet Jose. She will also perform in some churches across various cities and towns in the UK. She will visit St Paul’s Cathedral to strengthen her faith in the Lord.

This is not Adesola’s first international musical tour, as she has previously performed in Ghana, Cameroon, Congo Kinshasa, and Kenya

Reflecting on her chequered career, she stated: “It has been God all the way; the journey has been interesting and demanding, but God has been faithful. I am a Gospel artist with passion and dedication to spread God’s Gospel of love, hope, deliverance, and peace through my song ministrations”.

She added, “Music has been my hobby since my childhood, when I started ministering in my local church. Subsequently, I ministered in different churches during their revivals, concerts, anniversaries, etc. I have organised several praise events and musical concerts, such as PRAISE EXPLOSION, a popular concert held annually in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.”

Adesola attended Ifelodun Community Primary School, Ile-Ife, Osun State (1998), St. Peter’s Anglican Grammar School, Ile-Ife, Osun State (2005), and The Polytechnic, Ibadan, bagging an HND in Accounting in 2013. She has worked with different organisations such as Accountant, Treacons and Partners (Consulting Engineers), Ibadan (2009-2011); Auditor/Accountant, Kunle Egbeleke and Co. (Chartered Accountants), 2012-2016.

Adesola is committed to healthy family practices. She is married to Pastor (Engr.) Adekanbi Oluwaseun, the Lead Pastor/ General Overseer at The Word End Time Gospel Church. The marriage is blessed with children.
