Gombe Gov Sacks Three Commissioners

Gombe State Governor, Inuwa Yahaya, on Monday, reshuffled the state executive cabinet, relieving the Commissioners of Information, Health and Special Duties of their functions.

Announcing the minor shakeup, which is the first since 2019 when the government was inaugurated, Secretary to the Gombe State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Njodi, said the move was in a bid to consolidate on the operations of the Yahaya-led administration.

“Alhassan Ibrahim Kwami – Information & Culture, Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Gana- Health, and Mela Audu Nunghe (SAN)- Special Duties, are expected to handover the affairs of their ministries to their respective permanent secretaries. His Excellency wishes to thank them for their services to Gombe State and wishes them well in their future endeavours,” the SSG said.

According to him, “In the bid to further consolidate on the operations of government, Governor Inuwa Yahaya has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle; Mohammed Adamu from Lands and Survey to Rural, Community Development and Cooperatives
“Dr. Habu Dahiru from Ministry of Education to Ministry of Health. Usman Biri from Ministry of Rural, Community Development and Cooperatives to Ministry of Lands and Survey.”
