DOMINION

DOMINION means:

• Control
• Governing power
• Authority
• Ability to manage
• Ability to influence

1. GOD HAS GIVEN US DOMINION TO MANAGE THE EARTH

Gen. 1 v 26

“Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over [g]all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

• God has given us delegated authority to rule and reign over the earth effectively and victoriously.

• DOMINION ORIGINATES FROM GOD

Psalm 8 v 6

“You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet”

James 1 v 17

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”

• DOMINION IS OUR INHERITANCE

Eph. 2 v 6

“and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus”

• Through Christ, we believers have been restored to spiritual dominion Calvary dominion.

• WE MUST WALK IN ABSOLUTE DOMINION DALLY

Luke 10 v 19

“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you”

• We don’t beg for it
• God has given it to us
• We must be conscious of our Calvary dominion
• We must exercise it daily
• Dominion is our NEW BIRTH IDENTITY

• WE MUST ENFORCE/ACTIVATE DOMINION THROUGH SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINE

1. THROUGH MEDITATION ON GOD’S WORD

Joshua 1 v 8

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success”

• EXERCISING OUR FAITH

Mark 11 v 22 – 23

v.22 “So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.”

 v.23 “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”

1. DOMINION OVER FEAR

2 Tim. 1 v 7

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

• DOMINION OVER SIN

Roman 6 v 14 – 16

v.14 “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.”

v.15 “What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.”

v.16 “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness”

• DOMINION OVER ANXIETIES & WORRIES

“Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

• DOMINION OVER LACK

ACTION

• BE A DOMINION CHRISTIAN

• CALL THINGS FORTH, THEY MAY NOT BE IN YOUR HAND NOW BUT THEY ARE IN THE SPIRIT REALM
