27 in captivity, pastor, wife, children spared
Twenty seven worshipers of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), were said to have been kidnapped by bandits who obstructed an evening service on Tuesday.
And contrary to earlier reports, the Pastor, his wife and two children were spared by the bandits but the assistant pastor was not as lucky.
A son of the substantive Pastor, a fresh graduate from the seminary was also said to be among the kidnapped.

The bandits were said to have equally spared the children and two aged women who were among the congregants in the evening service
Mrs Titi Omotinugbon, a high blood pressure victim on medication, was also taken along by the rampaging kidnappers, causing concern among he family members, including her aged mother, a octogenarian Mrs Matilda Omotinugbon
The situation in the sleepy town is tense as rumour fly around that the kidnappers are planning a relaunch today.
A source who spoke on condition of anonymity confirmed that three of the thirty captives managed to escape and are giving account of their ordeal to the villagers
Four persons were confirmed dead, including a local hunter who was said to have fired sporadically with ni effect before he was mowed down with stick.
