A renowned expert in Micropalaeontology and Palaeoceanography, he currently serves as Acting Head of the Department of Geology and has published 44 scholarly works.

He holds his first two degrees from the then Ondo State University and University of Ado-Ekiti (BSc: 1997), and the University of Ado-Ekiti (MSc: 2008) now EkitiStateUniversity, Ado-Ekiti, Adeyinka is a research professional with Ph.D. focused on Micropaleontology from the prestigious University of Leicester, United Kingdom (2015).
Within ten months, he attracted over ₦50 million in departmental resources and secured a ₦2 million research grant. He also plays key roles in university administration.

Professor Aturamu is a member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS), Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE), The Micropalaeontological Society (UK), and the Geological Society of America (GSA).
Beyond academia, he is a Christian leader, philanthropist, and family man devoted to research, education, and social impact. He began his career at EKSU as an assistant lecturer in 2009.
