D’Tigress of Nigeria have won a fifth consecutive Women’s AfroBasket

The Nigerian girls defeated Mali 78-64 in the final of the competition at the Palais Des Sports Treichville on Sunday night.D’Tigress won the title for the seventh time.

Rena Wakama’s side are also unbeaten in their last 29 games at the FIBA Women’s AfroBasket.

Nigeria have also now qualified for the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup, which will be hosted by Germany.

D’Tigress dominated the first quarter, edging out the Malians 26-21.

Both teams fought hard in the second quarter, which ended 41-41.

D’Tigress, however, showed their supremacy in the third quarter, prevailing 61-56.

In the end, Nigeria claimed the title with a 78-64 victory.
