Suspended Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, has been taken into custody by the Department of State Services (DSS).
THE CONCLAVE reports that Bawa was invited by the DSS shortly after his suspension and he arrived at the headquarters of DSS about 9:02pm on Wednesday.
Feelers indicated that the suspended EFCC boss was being grilled by the operatives of the secret police in commencement of investigation of Bawa’s stewardship.

Spokesperson of the DSS, Peter Afunanya ,confirmed Bawa’s presence in a statement.
“The Department of State Services (DSS) has invited Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa, the suspended Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
“Bawa arrived a few hours ago. The invitation relates to some investigative activities concerning him”, Afunanya said in terse statement.
President Bola Tinubu had suspended Bawa indefinitely earlier on Wednesday night.
The suspension was contained in a statement released on Wednesday night by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
The statement signed by Willie Bassey said the suspension was to allow for a proper investigation into his conduct while in office.
