On Tuesday May 16 2023, DOLTMA PEARLS EMPOWERMENT FOUNDATION led by Miss Akinfiresoye Leah Tolulope in grand style commemorated the International Day of the Boy Child at St. Thomas’ Aquinas College Akure, the Ondo State Capital.

The event which had over 500 boys in attendance laid particular emphasis on the importance of boy child mentoring & education while teaching them to cultivate good moral values.

The Deputy Commandant, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), State Director of National Orientation Agency (NOA) as well as the Director of Ondo State Agency Against Sexual & Gender Based Violence (OSA-GBV) took turns to enlighten the young lads about the effects of drug abuse on mental health, unavoidable dangers of cultism and how to live in love, avoid bully and violence.

The Founder of the Doltma Pearls Foundation and Author of Sex Education for Children & Pre-schoolers, Miss Akinfiresoye Leah Tolulope during her welcome address and interview with the press called on parents, teachers, NGOs, NBOs, Religious Organizations and the society at large not to focus on the girl child alone but rather, extend same degree of care, guidance and mentoring to the boy-child.
