The African Political Economic Association (APEA) will host a virtual 4-day international conference on African Political Economy 4 (ACAPE4) from March 20, 2026, to March 23, 2026.
The theme of the conference is Agenda 2063: The Transformation of the African Political Economy. According to the convener of the conference and the President of APEA, Prof. Oladele Omosegbon of Indiana University/Indiana Wesleyan University, the conference will be attended by reputable, renowned scholars from various African educational institutions.

APEA is partnering with the West African Institute for Financial and Economic Management (WAIFEM), the West African Monetary Institute (WAMI), the West African Monetary Agency (WAMA), the Foundation for Economic Research and Training (FERT), and the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
The conference hosts are Juliet Elu of Morehouse College and Francoise Okah of the University of Yaoundé II, Cameroun.
Other members of the organising committee are Akpan Ekpo, Chair, University of Uyo, Nigeria; Juliet Elu, Morehouse College; Toussaint Houeninvo, African Development Bank; Douglasson Omotor, West African Institute for Financial and Economic Management; Francoise Okah, University of Yaoundé II; Meisha Williams, Spelman College; Daniel Sakyi, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology; and Biodun Folawewo, University of Ibadan.
