  1. Postpublished at 65 minsIpswich 2-1 Norwich Marcelino Nunez is warming up for the hosts, taking the home fans up a few octaves with their rendition of Zombie by the Cranberries. He’s ‘in your head,’ and on the front of the programme, and on a pull-out poster in the middle too today…Not a keepsake many of the 2,000 travelling fans will be holding onto, I expect.
  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 63 minsIpswich 2-1 Norwich Brave from Ipswich’s first goalscorer Cedric Kipre who leans forward with his hands behind his back to block a Jack Stacey strike from the right with his forehead. He stays down and will need some treatment.Matej Jurasek is coming on for Norwich scorer Oscar Schartau during the stoppage.’I’m staggered he decided to square it’published at 13:24 BSTIpswich 2-1 NorwichMick Mills
Former Ipswich and England captain on BBC Radio Suffolk This has been a good moment for Town.Hirst got himself into a good position but I’m staggered that he decided to square the ball, I don’t know what he saw in the corner of eye. You got the chance, just score, it’s simple as that. Then we had the chance with Jaden Philogene. This has not been as comfortable and I wonder if Kieran McKenna will make changes, but they have to be the right ones.
  3. CLOSE!published at 61 minsIpswich 2-1 Norwich George Hirst, why didn’t you shoot?Leif Davis bends a glorious ball down the left for Hirst to run onto but he inexplicably cuts back into the middle, with Sam Szmodics nowhere to be seen, instead of trying an angled shot past the onrushing Vlad Kovacevic.Town do get the ball back into the middle and it drops to Jaden Philogene but his powerful half-volley flies inches over the bar.
  4. Postpublished at 59 minsIpswich 2-1 Norwich Josh Sargent is having a frustrating afternoon with very little service to work off.Oscar Schwartau clips in a cross from the left of the area but it’s too high for the American in the middle and drifts out of play for a gaol kick.Josh SargentImage source, Rex Features
  5. Postpublished at 57 minsIpswich 2-1 Norwich Ipswich midfielder Sam Szmodics tussles with big Jose Cordoba but after losing out is then sent in behind the defence, only for his low effort from the right of the box to fail to trouble Vlad Kovacevic.
  6. Postpublished at 55 minsIpswich 2-1 Norwich Ipswich continue to look nervy trying to play out from the back, and keeper Alex Palmer has to block the ball behind for a corner on the by-line after putting his side under pressure. If the ball got past him there was a tap-in for someone in the middle.Town manage to survive the corner without any further damage, however.
  7. ‘A real good chance for Topic’published at 13:14 BSTIpswich 2-1 NorwichAndrew Marshall
Former Norwich and Ipswich keeper on BBC Radio Norfolk Should Mirko Topic have gone to the other post? Alex Palmer could make the save and it falls to someone else. It’s a real good chance.
  8. CLOSE!published at 52 minsIpswich 2-1 Norwich After a flowing move from right to left Mirko Topic is teed up by Oscar Schwartau on the edge of the box but can only drag a low shot inches past the near post with the unsighted Alex Palmer left rooted to the spot.Just needed to hit the target.
  9. Postpublished at 51 minsIpswich 2-1 Norwich Sindre Walle Egeli is penalised for a high foot on City’s Pelle Mattsson in midfield… Norway on Denmark battle that.City can’t make the most of the set-piece however.
  10. ‘How much is Hirst going to rue that?’published at 13:11 BSTIpswich 2-1 Norwichd4934f55 7bd1 41d3 90c1 7058a337dcd3.jpgBrenner Woolley
BBC Radio Suffolk commentator That’s poor from George Hirst, he really should score to make it 3-1.How much is he going to rue that? You wouldn’t bet against him scoring in the game at some point.
  11. Postpublished at 49 minsIpswich 2-1 Norwich Ipswich living dangerously again at the back with Azor Matusiwa giving the ball away, only to be bailed out by a challenge from Jens Cajuste.Straight down the right go Town and Sam Szmodics then slides the ball into the middle for the unmarked George Hirst who allows the ball to run across his body but can’t get a strong enough connection and bobbles the ball into the gloves of Vlad Kovacevic flopping to his left.Big chance goes begging.
  12. Postpublished at 47 minsIpswich 2-1 Norwich Just like the first half, Norwich start the second on the front foot with some ferocious pressing.
  13. KICK-OFFpublished at 46 minsIpswich 2-1 Norwich Recovered from that first half yet? Me neither. But they’re not waiting around for us… we are back under way. No changes. Can Norwich come back from that hammer blow before the break? Let’s find out together…Josh Sargent puts hands on headImage source, PA
  14. ‘This game is not over’published at 13:04 BSTHT: Ipswich 2-1 Norwichbf861691 b8bf 40c3 ab05 f11e9c01b1fa.jpgRob Butler
BBC Radio Norfolk sport The bottom line is Nowich have not lost this game yet. They’ve been the better team and it was a great goal from Jaden Philogene.Pelle Mattsson did lose the ball but let’s not be too harsh on him because he’s been Norwich’s best player. This game is not over. Norwich just need to stay positive because there’s every chance they can still win this let alone draw it.
  15. get involvedGet Involvedpublished at 13:03 BSTHave your say using the yellow Get Involved button Was a sloppy game before the goals went in. Ipswich are vulnerable at the back …and Philogene saves the day with a wonder strike. Norwich were just growing in confidence before that Ipswich 2nd goal. Expect the game to liven up in 2nd half.Shampoo Dave – Ipswich
  16. It only takes one…published at 13:00 BSTHT: Ipswich 2-1 Norwich Jaden Philogene has only had 20 touches in the opening 45 minutes, but he’ll be hard pressed to have a more influential one all season than his 45th-minute blockbuster.Just look where he struck it from, well outside the box, and on his left-peg too.Jaden Philogene touch mapImage source, Opta
  17. ‘Ipswich’s style has not worked’published at 12:57 BSTHT: Ipswich 2-1 Norwich516a85e6 94b6 4166 b162 dcd7dde96124.jpgMick Mills
Former Ipswich and England captain on BBC Radio Suffolk It was a very tiring 45 minutes. I was irritated with the way we started. We went and decided to play short passes, play out from the back and it did not work and it made Norwich comfortable. All of a sudden we scored and excellent goal from the corner, they got a little bit fortunate with the equaliser and made it really difficult for us.But then in a half that hasn’t been our best JP picks the ball up and he’s unleashed a shot which was outstanding. Now I would like the manager now to admit the style has not worked. He’s got to encourage early ball to the front players a bit more. We’ve got to look better with in the opposition half.
  18. HALF-TIMEpublished at 12:50 BSTIpswich 2-1 Norwich Jaden PhilogeneImage source, Getty Images… and breathe…After a relatively low-key first half-hour the game sprung to life when Cedric Kipre hammered home from a corner, which had been needlessly conceded by City keeper Vlad Kovacevic.Oscar Schwartau’s deflected 20-yard strike just 188 seconds later levelled things, but Jaden Philogene struck one of the sweetest long-range drives you’ll ever see to put the hosts back ahead on the stroke of half-time.Phew.Possibly a bit harsh on Norwich and Liam Manning to be going in behind, but Town fans certainly won’t mind.Big 15 minutes coming up for the Canaries boss.
  19. INJURY TIMEpublished at 12:49 BSTIpswich 2-1 Norwich We’re into TWO added minutes. Which is a shame. I wanted 22.
