According to The Africa Report, Former deputy president of the Nigerian Senate, Ike Ekweremadu who have been in detention in London since June last year have been receiving his emoluments and allowances.
Ekweremadu, who was convicted in London for conspiracy to commit organ trafficking, has been receiving his monthly salary, allowance and imprest of N14.2m (about $30,800) from the Nigerian Senate since June.
According to The Africa Report, so far, he has collected 12 months of salary and allowances which amounts to N170.4m (nearly $370,000).
