The book is aimed at positively projecting the image of Ile-Oluji, while also highlighting its abundant human, economic, and cultural potential.
The book debuted in December 1994. Subsequent editions were published in 2003, 2011, and 2016. A novel addition to the book is the digitalisation of its contents to enhance reach and access.
Akinbola explained: “In line with global trends, the 2024 edition will be uploaded on the Ile-Oluji website for global access by indigenes and non-indigenes. The book will also be available in the form of a mobile app. We have Ile-Oluji indigenes all over the world, and we want them to be able to network with fellow indigenes and exchange useful ideas”
“The community website is the first-of-its-kind in Ondo State, nay Nigeria. We have tried to provide a one-stop information portal for the community. The website features content on the history, culture, and tradition of Ile-Oluji. It will also feature updates on the various development initiatives of the community, including the exceptional contributions of the Jegun-in-Council, Ile-Oluji Development Council (IDC), and Ile-Oluji Assembly”, he added.
