Afrobeats singer, Daniel Benson, popularly known as BNXN, has released his highly anticipated second studio album titled “Captain”.

The 16-track album, which dropped on Thursday, features guest appearances from artistes like Seyi Vibez, Victony, FOLA, and the Soweto Gospel Choir.
In the album, BNXN shares personal reflections about his rise to fame, emotional highs and lows, and creative growth. He also experiments with new sounds, crossing genres on songs like “Cutesy, Totori,” and “Cough Syrup” featuring Victony.

Speaking about the project, the singer said, “This album represents who I am right now and everything I’ve been through to get here. It’s the most honest I’ve ever been in my music.”
According to him, “Captain” is not just a follow-up to past work but a deeper, more vulnerable body of music. The project follows his hit singles “Phenomena”, “Very Soon” ft FOLA, “Cutesy”, and “Fi Kan We Kan” featuring Rema, all of which have already racked up 185 million streams.
The album features production from names like Jiggy, Vampire Craze, BlaiseBeatz, Rymez, Kel P, Synx, and Gemini Major. All tracks were mixed by Synx except Phenomena, which was handled by Leandro “Dro” Hidalgo and mastered by Stan Greene.
BNXN, who is 27 years old, became known for hit collaborations like “Mood” with Wizkid, “Finesse” with Pheelz, and “POE” with Ruger.
In 2024, he teamed up with Ruger for their joint EP RnB, which pulled over 455 million global streams.

The new album follows his 2023 project “Sincerely Benson”, which still charts on multiple platforms with over 910 million streams. He previously dropped “Bad Since 97” in 2022 and “Sorry I’m Late” in 2021.
To promote the “Captain” album, BNXN will begin a North American tour this August, with stops in Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Chicago, Los Angeles, and more.
The album is now available on all digital streaming platforms.
