Nigerian Afrobeats star Ayra Starr, born Sarah Aderibigbe, has shared insights into her personal spiritual journey, describing her faith as deeply individual and not confined to conventional religious structures.
Speaking during a recent livestream with TikToker Jarvis, the singer explained that her relationship with God is guided by personal conviction rather than strict adherence to organised religion.
She noted that her goal is to live according to the teachings of Jesus Christ, adding that she strives for personal growth and moral alignment rather than perfection through rigid practices.

According to her, spirituality goes beyond attending church services, emphasizing that her connection with God and the Holy Spirit is reflected in her daily life and experiences.
“I have a close relationship with God and the Holy Spirit and it doesn’t come with me only being in church. I have found a way that works for me,” she said.
Ayra Starr added that her perspective reflects her current stage in life and remains open to change as she continues to grow spiritually.
Beyond her reflections on faith, the singer also revealed plans to expand her creative career into acting. She disclosed that she began exploring film production last year and is working towards releasing her debut movie later in 2026.
The move marks a significant step beyond music for the Mavin Records artiste, as she continues to build a broader presence within the entertainment industry.
