Atalanta are now looking to offer Ademola Lookman a new contract after their transfer standoff with the winger this summer, Prompt News reports.

Lookman pushed for a move to La Dea’s Serie A rivals Inter Milan last month.

Atalanta rejected a €45m  bid from the Nerrazzuri for the tricky winger

The 27-year-old only trained with his teammates for the first time this season on Thursday.

The Nigeria international has two years remaining on his contract, and could still seek an exit from the club in January.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Atalanta want to present a new contract to  the player which will not delay a 2027 expiration date but raise his salary and include a release clause of €40m.

He is expected to make his maiden appearance for Atalanta against Torino on Sunday.
