Former Arsenal and Real Madrid star Mesut Ozil is taking charge of Turkish football.
The Germany World Cup winner is set to be named new sporting director of the Turkish Football Federation.
Ozil hung up the boots last season while with Istanbul Basaksehir.
Aksam says he will succeed Hamit Altintop as Turkey’s prime sporting director.
Turkey are also expected to axe national team coach Stefan Kuntz in the coming days.
