The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has inaugurated The Progressive Institute, TGI, at its National Secretariat in Abuja.
This is contained in a statement posted on its verified X handle on Monday.
The inauguration of the Institute followed its formal unveiling in September 2024.
The statement said that the National Chairman of the party, Prof Nentawe Yilwatda will serve as Chairman of the Governing Council of the Party’s policy think tank.
According to the statement, the Institute is expected to drive policy research and publications, organise national and international conferences, seminars, and training programmes.
It is also expected to build leadership and institutional capacity within the party, strengthen ideology, governance standards, and democratic culture as well as serve as the institutional memory of the APC.
