The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the resumption of its electronic membership registration exercise across the country.

In a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja, Felix Morka, national publicity secretary of the party, said the exercise will take place in wards and designated locations nationwide.

Morka urged members of the party to validate their membership details.

He also encouraged new members to register and join the party.

According to the APC, individuals seeking to register must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN).

The party said the electronic registration initiative is aimed at digitising its membership register.

“The e-registration exercise is designed to digitize the Party’s membership register, ensure the integrity of records, enhance efficient access to membership data for planning and management decisions, promote internal democracy, and strengthen the Party’s commitment to democratic innovation in Nigeria,” Morka said.

On March 2, Nentawe Yilwatda, national chairman of the APC, said the party’s expanding membership and electoral competitiveness are driven by strong internal structures and a technology-based membership system.

Speaking during a public presentation in Abuja, the APC chairman noted that the adoption of electronic registration has strengthened the party’s organisation and mobilisation.
