Anthony Joshua’s Auto Crash FRSC Explains How It Happened

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Ogun Sector Command, has alleged that over-speeding and wrongful overtaking would have caused the crash that killed two persons and left Nigerian-British boxer, Anthony Joshua injured.

The crash which involved a Lexus SUV with the number plate, KRD 850 HN, carrying Joshua, reportedly collided with a stationary truck around past 11:00 am on Monday, in front of Sinoma, before Danco, along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway.

According to FRSC statement the accident involved five persons, with one injured, two unhurt and two others killed.

The statement explained that the driver of the Lexus was over-speeding and wrongfully overtook from the right hand side, thereby ramming into the stationary vehicle.

It added that Anthony Joshua was rushed to an undisclosed hospital by the security officers attached to him and the bodies of the deceased deposited at Livewell Hospital Morgue, Sagamu.

The statement read: “An Auto crash occured today 29h December 2025 involving two vehicles along Lagos-Ibadan expressway at SINOMA.

“Sagamu unit of FRSC rescue team were at the scene as soon as they were informed.

“Five people were involved, one was injured, two were unhurt while two were killed in the crash.
